International Cooperation and Governance

From 2021, prior to our public launch in 2023, Sol Foundation leadership and its key partners have been directly involved in some of the most important efforts to date to build international cooperation on UAP disclosure, including through briefings to members and committees of the Parliament of Canada, the Office of the Chief Science Advisor of the Canadian Government, the European Union Parliament and Commission, the Parliament of Japan, and the Parliament of the United Kingdom, as well as the United States Congress. In an effort to build international dialogue, we also featured sitting members of several of these parliaments as speakers at our 2023, 2024, and 2025 symposia.

The Foundation is currently working in collaboration with the Ralph Bunche Institute for International Studies at the City University of New York Graduate Center to establish relevant international cooperation and eventual governance mechanisms at the United Nations and other international fora and institutions, including UNESCO. While absolutely committed to assisting the United States to recognize and seize on the tremendous opportunity for international leadership that UAP disclosure entails, Sol is aware that every significant step toward disclosure could exacerbate existing competition and conflict between the US and its adversaries, in what is already a fractured geopolitical landscape. International cooperation on UAP, whatever the obstacles toward it, is necessary if US government disclosure is to be executed to the benefit of not only its interests and allies but also international relations as a whole, global democratic politics, and humanity.

In parallel, Sol is continuing to make its symposia and other future events occasions at which members of national governments can publicly share their knowledge concerning UAP. Such communications are essential to bringing about disclosure and ensuring that it is international in scope.
