David Dominguez Hooper is a classically trained engineer with a bachelor’s degree in EECS (Electrical Engineering and Computer Science) from the University of California, Berkeley. He founded a UAV research organization at UC Berkeley and has held technical roles at Fat Shark, where he worked on autonomous drone control systems, and at Velodyne LiDAR, where he served as an FPGA firmware engineer contributing to advanced LiDAR technologies for autonomous vehicles.
David’s recent work centers on UAP detection and tracking through the development of field-deployable, multimodal sensor systems. He has designed and built ELDÆON’s detection platform from the ground up, integrating passive radar, thermal imaging, magnetometry, atomic clock timing, biometrics, and edge computing into a synchronized architecture for real-time UAP characterization.
At ELDÆON, David leads technical development, system deployment, and field operations. He brings applied engineering, reverse engineering, and long-term strategic vision to his role as the founder and principal architect of the company’s UAP detection technologies.
